Safeguarding

Safeguarding is at the forefront of our work at Ormiston Bridge Academy. To ensure our pupils and staff are kept safe we have a number of policies and procedures, which are understood and followed, by all staff, governors and volunteers. All policies are available by following the links in the policy section of this website.

To promote a culture of safety within the school we aim to build positive relationships, creating an open environment where any concerns can be shared.

A comprehensive staff-training programme provides the knowledge and skills required to recognise safeguarding concerns at an early stage and trigger action.

Partnership working with local authority colleagues ensures a prompt and thorough response when safeguarding concerns arise.

Safeguarding threads throughout our curriculum providing pupils with the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe in the community and virtual world.

In order to support the safeguarding work that is undertaken at Ormiston Bridge Academy, we have a dedicated safeguarding team who are available should your child have concerns about any safeguarding issues.
