Ormiston Bridge Academy is proud of the relationships with Hammersmith & Fulham and local stakeholders, our relationships within our community are strong and our learners benefit greatly from our partnerships.
We work in partnership with our local community on a range of enrichment opportunities and support for our school. The Lyric Theatre offers in-school opportunities for drama, learners attend Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre to engage in a stables management course and learners benefit from our partnership with Nuffield Gym who offer us use of their gym and pool two afternoons a week, work experience opportunities and many donations of equipment.
The school has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with the Macbeth Centre who provide courses in motor mechanics. Key Stage 3 learners benefit from the Religious Studies lessons facilitated by St Ethelreda’s church. The Kick-Start programme in partnership with Fulham FC and funded by the Premier League delivers an accredited package for our learners. We work closely with our Hammersmith & Fulham colleagues to ensure consistency of information sharing in line with respective children’s services plans.
Termly inclusion panel meetings bring together the Youth Offending Service, the police, family support, safeguarding managers and the educational psychologist to explore risks and concerns pertaining to particular high risk learners.
“Leaders organise additional input from external professionals, including therapeutic provision. These professionals contribute well to staff’s work to ensure pupils’ needs are met.”
